How do I notify you of a change of address?

All address changes must be submitted in writing with a signature. For your account security Parsley Energy cannot accept address changes over the telephone. You may download the attached form and send it to the mailing address or scan it and send via email to divisionorders@parsleyenergy.com

How do I change or transfer ownership?

Sale of Your Interest

  • For a full or partial conveyance of a mineral, royalty, overriding royalty or working interest, please provide Parsley Energy, LP a copy of the conveyance document (recorded in the county and state where the property is located).

When an Owner Dies

If an owner dies Intestate (without a will), furnish all of the documents below to Parsley Energy: (We will inform you if additional information is needed.)

  • Certified copy of the death certificate
  • Affidavit of death and heirship form completed and sworn to by a disinterested third party and bine someone familiar with the facts of the family. You may download the Affidavit of Heirship form and use it. It must be recorded in the county where the property is located.
  • If there is a Last Will and Testament and it is not probated, it must be attached to the completed Affidavit of Heirship and recorded.

If an owner dies testate (with a will and it was probated):

  • Certified copy of the death certificate
  • Letters Testamentary
  • Recorded Application for Probate (recorded in the county where the property is located)
  • Recorded Order Admitting the Will to Probate (recorded in the county where the property is located)
  • Recorded Last Will and Testament (recorded in the county where the property is located)
  • Final court decree distributing the assets and closing administration of the estate (recorded in the county where the property is located)
  • Copies of any appropriate recorded conveyances (recorded in the county where the property is located)
  • All documents including the recording information must be mailed to Parsley Energy, LP.

Termination of Joint Tenancy upon Death

  • You will need to provide Parsley Energy, LP with a certified copy of the death certificate.

Life Estate

  • When an owner of a life estate dies you will need to provide Parsley Energy, LP with a certified death certificate, the names and addresses of the persons who own the remainder and who succeeds the interest. In some situations, we may need further recorded documentation which created the life tenancy and named the successors. (All documents must be recorded in the County and State where the property is located.)

Name Changes

  • When an individual's name changes because of marriage, divorce, etc., you will need to provide Parsley Energy, LP with a copy of the marriage certificate, divorce decree or other documentation effecting the name change
  • When a company or corporation changes its name; please provide Parsley Energy, LP a copy of the Certificate of Name Change. If the change is due to a merger, please furnish a copy of the Certificate of Merger.

Change of Ownership due to Divorce

  • A copy of the divorce decree and copies of any recorded conveyance must be provided (All documentation must be recorded in the County and State that the property is located in).

Guardianships

  • When an owner is declared incompetent, please furnish Letters of Guardianship issued by the local court.
  • When a minor reaches the legal age, please provide a copy of the minor's birth certificate.

Upon review of the division order department other documentation may be required to complete the ownership change. This could include having any documentation recorded in the County and State where the property is located.

How do I add my spouse or other individual to my account?

A name cannot be added to an account without providing a recorded copy of a deed conveying the interest into yourself and the other party as joint tenants.

How do I transfer my interest into a Trust?

Provide a copy of the Trust Agreement, along with a Deed from the individual(s) into the Trust, recorded in the counties where the properties are located. Please note the deed also needs to name a Trustee of the Trust.

What if the Trustee changes?

Provide documentation showing the death or resignation of the prior Trustee and the documentation naming the Successor Trustee. All documents must be recorded in the counties where the properties are located.

Can I receive a valuation on property that I am named Executor?

Parsley Energy cannot provide a valuation for interests. However, we can provide a payment history to assist you.

My mortgage company is requiring a letter from Parsley stating that my royalty payments will continue. Can you provide this?

Parsley Energy cannot provide any letter of this type because there are too many variables involved with oil and gas production i.e. pricing, mechanical, force majeure factors etc.

What is a Division Order?

A Division Order is a document Parsley Energy issues that describes the property, the operator, the legal description, the owner's remittance address, as well as the owner's decimal interest and interest type in the property. The owner is asked to sign and return the Division Order. Parsley Energy uses this information to remit proceeds to the owner if Parsley Energy has the disbursement responsibility.

Do you have direct deposit?

Parsley will be offering direct deposit beginning in early 2017. Please download the Direct Deposit Enrollment form. Complete the form and return it to the address or e-mail address located on the form. You will also need to provide a voided check or a copy of a voided check.

When are 1099’s mailed out?

1099’s are mailed out by January 31 of each year. If you need to request a copy of your 1099 please contact our AP department at ap@parsleynergy.com.

When are checks mailed out?

Royalty payments are mailed out on or around the 29th of each month, depending on if the dates fall on a weekend or holiday. You will receive payment no earlier than 30 days after the month of production and no later than 60 days after the month of production. For newly drilled wells, it usually takes 2-3 months or longer to get title reviewed, division orders mailed out, and initial production paid.

Why have I not received my check?

Typically, this is because your account is in a minimum pay status. Parsley remits revenue checks to you once your balance exceeds $100. All revenue, regardless of the amount is disbursed once a year, in December of that year.

What if my check is lost, stolen, or stale dated?

Parsley will reissue a lost, stolen, or stale dated check after six weeks from date of check issue. Please download the Request for Check Replacement form and return the completed form, along with the stale dated check(s) to the address noted on the form to request a replacement check.

Does Parsley offer IRS tax withholding?

At this time, Parsley does not offer voluntary tax withholding.

Why does my monthly payment vary?

Many factors contribute to your payment, including: suspended payments, market conditions, fluctuating commodity prices, regulatory or contractual changes, production volumes, seasonal condition, and well downtime.

Where can I find my owner number?

Your owner number can be found on your check, check detail, and on your 1099. Each owner has been assigned a unique owner number. Please include your owner number in all communications with Parsley, including voicemail and e-mail.

How do I get a copy of my Revenue Detail and payment history?
